To call it 'jamming' or 'improvisation' is perhaps to give too much credit to intent, or control, or even participation. At it's peak, we teetered along the fine edges of the void, galaxies away from the warm cocoon of the dozen or so synthesizers our phsyical bodies sat patched to in a dark dank Greenpoint spaceship. The electrons and chemicals did their work, our participation was secondary, organic conduits tending on reflex and intuition alone, oscillating through countless distant realities, overlapping occasionally long enough to pass the lighter or to remind yourself to breathe.
